Global festival brand, Afropunk, decided to grace South Africa with a 2 day festival event filled with a great line-up of African and International acts, the attendees decided to show up with an overwhelming amount of blackness, love, queerness, fashion and good vibes. We asked 1/3 of Pap Culture, Nwabisa Mda, who is quickly becoming recognized for her candid portrait photography which she posts on her Instagram page, to share with us her photo diary of the weekend. Have a look in the gallery below. From Nwabisa  So taking photo's has always been my thing I just never had the devices that made the pots. Time to Shine with MRP

by

Lately I have been feeling very out of touch with what has been one of my favourite retailers for years. I'm not sure if it's because I am growing out of the target market range or if the adolescent focus of MRP is no longer appealing to me. Okay, this might be a story for another day because the latest MRP Project Range did catch my eye. The razzle and dazzle of the metallic range just screamed New Years Eve looks. Aside from the actual items, the creative direction of the entire editorial was just refreshing; the plants, the illustrations by Daisy Jo and the brown girls with braids and a big afro. Be enchanted by dark florals, shimmery pieces & ruffles aplenty in our new limited edition Project collection. The new MRP X PROJECT TIME TO SHINE is available online at mrp.com and in select MRP stores from 4 December ...

Thabooty’s Underwear & Shapewear provides a new outlook on shapewear, with sexy, appealing garments you won’t want to keep hidden. Thando Thabethe explains that the idea to start an underwear & shapewear range was inspired by her struggles to find off-the-rack shapewear that was both appealing to the eye as well as functional. “I wanted to create something women wouldn’t be ashamed to wear, and something that would meet my functional needs. Whether it was to even out, control or contour, I needed something that wouldn’t roll down my body or make me ...
