The Creative Womxn Hookup is back for it’s last instalment of 2019 and the line-up of panel speakers for 411 on Influencer Marketing Part 2: YouTube is sure to get you to start that vlogging channel you’ve been procrastinating about.

As of December 2018, over 1.9 Billion logged-in users visit YouTube each month and every day people watch over a billion hours of video and generate billions of views. According to StatsCounter, Youtube is the second most engaged social sharing platform in Africa behind Facebook. 

For this edition of The Creative Womxn Hookup, we are revisiting Influencer Marketing but this time with a focus on YouTube and video content creation. We have some amazing womxn line-up to share the experiences and knowledge with you spanning content from Travel all the way to Music.

Shay Sade is a presenter and DJ on London based radio station Reprezent Radio showcasing sounds from around the globe . When she’s not on the air, Shay is 1/6 of creative platform the Ubunifu Space. Throughout this she also works in branding for Nike and is a swimming enthusiast.

Monique Touko is a London based multidisciplinary artist working in both theatre and film. She is a theatre director, her most recent show was Noughts and Crosses at Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts and a reading of This Might Not Be It by Sophia Chetin-Leuner at Bush Theatre. Monique’s skill set includes script reading, facilitation, devising, international work, new writing, training actors and working with young people.

Monique is also a producer, videographer and also events coordinator. 

Buhle Lupindo is a strategic brand communications student at VEGA who has blown into the South African YouTube scene garnering over 20 000 subscribers and over half a million views in just 6 months. As one of the fastest growing YouTube content creators of 2019 she has created a community of loyal subscribers who tune into her comedic videos every week.

She has collaborated with brands such as Suzuki, Netflix and Wesbank to name a few. Her career as a digital entrepreneur has only just begun and the future looks promising.

Nandipha is a content creator who curates aesthetically driven content and provides advice on fashion, beauty and lifestyle. 

This BA Communications student has collaborated with major local brands over the past 3 years including PUMA, Revlon, MRP, Dark ‘n Lovely to name a few and she continues to ride the content creation wave. 

Thandi Gama is a South African beauty personality and self-taught makeup artist. A lady that carries an impressive amount of creative and entrepreneurial repertoire, and an appeal that attracts some of the biggest beauty brands in the world.
 
Content creation is one of her strong points and her educational, and professional background as a brand and communications strategist affords her the luxury of curating impactful content that speaks to her audience.
 
The internet is her tool of choice, she flexes and showcases her influence, leveraging the power of social media to break commonplace beauty conventions and usher in new ideals within the African beauty industry.
 
More than anything, she is a young self-starter, who is brave enough to challenge herself to make her dreams a reality.

Thobeka comes from a background of Strategic Communications and was Junior Content Producer for VUZU’s (DSTv) V-Entertainment. She was later promoted to Senior Content Producer on V-News at Afrokaans Film & Television. “Before that, I paid my dues as an Entertainment Reporter and Producer at YFM. ” In these capacities, Thobeka has interviewed some of the world’s biggest stars including Lupita Nyongo, Antonio Banderas, Bonang Matheba and then some.
