Review: I Took the PUMA Amp XT Abseiling

The new Puma Amp XT is part of the latest addition to the DO YOU family, which seek to recognize strength, grace and confidence within, resulting in a shoe that is tech-infused and fashion-forward (and quite honestly not sure about the last part but more on that later).

The Amp XT is a high-performing trainer, that has a knitted collar and forefoot flex zone, offering lightweight comfort while a mid-foot rubber wrap-up and exaggerated heel design offer support and traction. With a rubber out-sole with traction point for dynamic movements. The best part is the IGNITE foam for energy return, which make these thee most comfortable shoes I own in my closet, and mind you I own at least over thirty pairs of shoes.

If I am completely honest, I was initially not into the aesthetic style of the sneaker, as I find them overly simple and kind of boring looking. As a fan of interesting and quirky shoes, I think that is what disappointed me a little at first. However, I am very happy to have a new pair of gym and running shoes, which I have been meaning to get since signing up for the gym at the beginning of the year. Yes, I may be eight months behind but now I can at least look good on the way in and out of the gym. It truly is the perfect feminine gym shoe, guess I was the one who was behind the trend and the AMP XT is ahead lol.

I took my Amp XT’s for a spin for the first time this past weekend. They survived and actually outperformed the rough terrain of Hartebeesport rocky hills while I was abseiling. They were super comfortable, and felt like I was wearing fluffy pillows on my feet, which was quite impressive.

Time to work my workout.
