The Only Shoes I Need

The new shoe styles on this year’s catwalks and streets are all about bold colour and texture choices, updating old staples and countless embellishments.

There’s literally a style for everyone and every outfit, all you have to do is work out which shoe is best for you. To help you narrow down your options we’ve rounded up the best shoes from Superbalist to see you through all the seasons, events, occasions and mood in style.

Chaos colour block pointy boot:

Red has been seen everywhere this season, from flowing gowns to statement heels, and it’s no surprise that winter boots have followed (the statement hue for winter 2018) . I love how the the patent hardware on these Chaos colour block pointy boot gives it a little edge and you can wear them with dresses, high-waisted shorts, you name it.

White sneakers are a classic, but I’m very, very picky about the style. Now that winter is approaching, I need a new pair of classic white sneakers that will give my OG Superstar Adidas a break once in a while. These white leather beauties from Superbalist would be the perfect substitute. They can go with everything and are deliriously comfy.

Pumps heels are back. Since I started working full-time, I have been excited to hop onto this trend, starting with these subtly embellished Anele pumps. The diamante embellishments on these bring a playful touch to a sleek staple. I’d rock these lady-like pumps with wide-leg trousers or a beloved vintage jean, and I just can’t get enough of the royal blue satin on this pair. I can’t wait to have these be a part of happy shoe family soon. I’m ready to whip these out on days where I need just a bit more drama to complete the look, while remaining discreet enough for day-to-day wear without compromising sophistication.

In the shoe realm, sometimes the aesthetic trumps practicality, and this is often true for me. For trendier workplaces (if you’re fortunate enough to be such a space), kick up your style quotient with these super-chic statement Fabi mules that are meant to be ogled. This chic and funky number would be great for a gallery opening or themed party paired with a cute leather mini skirt and black chiffon tank, with a coat or blazer. Whether styled with a flowy dress or a full-on Canadian tuxedo, I am ready to wear these guys with just about anything and have heads turning left, right and center as I storm the streets of Johannesburg, South Africa.

Axel boot:

These Axel boots will go perfectly with every single outfit I wear. Denim skirt? Check. Patterned dress? Check. Hell, I’d ever wear them with track pants (if I owned a pair). The great thing about these Axel boots found on Superbalist, is that they can be styled with just about anything, whether you are wearing a laidback pair shirt over a pair of skinny jeans with a dramatic winter coat is always a winner – voila, effortless chic. The best part for me is the fact that the block heel is a lifesaver for long days spent pounding the pavement on the streets of Johannesburg, South Africa chasing the next big story.

Flame print platform:

I want to shimmy in backless black dresses, dancing to an insane set from Goldlink with my man in a pair of these flame print platform heels from Superbalist. It will also be great if this happened at Coachella. Since this scenario is only likely to happen next year, I’ll settle for this perfect pair of platforms at the next party somewhere in Johannesburg’s nightlife venues. They’ll help capture the mood I’m going for and are great for dancing while on vacation or even a girl’s night out.

So go ahead and pick you favourite pair and update your wardrobe from the comfort of your home or your office, with Superbalist’s endless choice of boots, heels and flats.
