21 year old founder of Re Basadi
Tebatso is the woman behind Re Basadi which is a young empowerment organisation aimed at creating networking platforms and facilitating collaborations for young women in business. She is from a small mining town in Burgersfort, Limpopo. She did a year of Journalism at Rhodes University and moved to Joburg in 2016 to pursue a degree in Film & TV. Her entrepreneurial journey began at 15 when she started working as her sister’s PA and eventually hosted my first event at 17 and was part of a group called Puro Estilo which aimed to showcase young creatives in my hometown.
My greatest achievement has been Re Basadi and how much I’ve managed to grow it in a period of less than 2 years.
I strive to push boundaries as I aim to connect young women in business all over the world.
Regarding where I will be in a year, I believe in allowing myself to learn along the way, sometimes we’re too busy trying to learn lessons that we often overlook actual lessons.
My inspiration comes from any young woman doing their thing, I take inspiration from everyone and anyone around me.
To my 16 year old self, live your life one day at a time.
