1. Prime Obsession, Tony Gum & MELENIAL to watch in 2016
During his Cliff Central bi-weekly segment, Creative Director of The Threaded Man, Siya Beyile, named a number of South African millennials that could be doing major things this year. We were so excited to be mentioned on this list alongside the cool Prime Obsession duo who have started an exclusive, well curated, vintage Instagram clothing store. Also on the list is Vogue’s “Coolest Girl in Cape Town,” Tony Gum who is known for her aesthetically pleasing and artsy Instagram feed often compared to that of Solange Knowles and obssessed over by Amandla Stenberg.

WHERE DA GUAREEZY?! If you do not know this line, please see Farieda Metsileng ! She is the newest video blogger sensation in Mzansi and we love her. From her multiple personalities and accents, Farieda also spits some real life truth on her popular videos. This girl has us cracking up on all social media platforms, Snapchat to Instagram amd everything in between.
3. Nthabiseng Molefe wins AFI Fastrack 2015
We are really excited to see what comes next for new young designer, Nthabiseng Molefe who beat her peers to be the AFI Fastrack winner of the year – a title previously held by the very successful rich Mnisi.
4. Moonchild announces Euro/US Music Tour
Soulful songstress and all around bad ass chick, Moonchild Sanelly is going on tour! The singer announced that she will be touring Spain, Barcelona, Cannes, Texas and Atlanta via her Instagram page last week. We are here for all of this slayage! Moonchild also teased a national tour with dates to be announced at a later stage.
5. Black Girls Rock comes to Africa
During last years first BET Experience Africa, celebrity DJ, Beverly Bond announced that the international channel’s Black Girls Rock Awards would be coming to Africa this year. Given the success of the BETX Africa, it looks like these awards will be a must attend!
